all you need is you iPhone jailbroken, the sound(s) you want as your text, “openSSH” downloaded in cydia, cyberduck and switch on your mac ill throw up links soon, if you have any questions just ask, i was tired so i might have missed something THIS WILL ALSO WORK ON IPHONE 3GS

Do you have to have a wireless network?

well to connect to the phone to switch the sounds the computer and the iPhone need to be on the same network, either yours or someone elses! so if you are using another wireless network just make sure they are on the same one

i always refer to this video when it comes time to change my sms and email tones. i’ve even changed the sounds for when you receive and send texts while sms is open. i don’t think i ever commented so … thank you so much!

Jim,
Thanks so much for posting this tutorial. It is very straight forward and easy to follow. For whatever reason I still managed to F up. When I select chime within settings it is now mute. Does switch convert the file on your desktop or do you have to move it out of switch after converting? I don’t care about losing chime for eternity, but I really would like to get this working. Thanks again.

@jimjins05 I looked in ifile and it is there and working correctly when I click on it. However, it is still mute when I select chime. If anybody has a solution, I am all ears. Thanks in advance.
