you can’t use the iphone 3gs yet on a different courier in the states… keyword is yet. Wait for ultrasn0w to be released.

search in cydia for ultrasn0w but you have to add a certain repo. Google ultrasn0w

I’ve done it on 3 iphone 3g’s and in fact I’m doing one right now. 3.0 is nice but not sure if its worth all the glitches when it comes to jailbroken apps. A lot of the jailbroken stuff has some type of glitch. intelliscreen, no more, katra HD has some overlapping text.. and cydia crashes a lot on 3.0. I might downgrade. contemplating since I have to do a restore again.

yeah I currently just bought the new iPhone 3G S and have an old 1st gen ipod touch. Not sure if I’m gonna jailbreak my iphone when the time comes but I do have my ipod jailbroken on 2.2.1 instead of 3.0 because of your exact reason with glitches and everything

I tweeked my winterboard a few times already and had to redo jailbreak three times

yeah that’s no good. I would rather have a jailbreak for 2.2.1 until the 3.0 jailbreak is more developed and working better

Thats a good ideal because my brother had to redo his twice already. A few of the things are just not compatable. 2.2.1 jailbroken has pretty much all the features of 3.0

3.0 has a few extra features but not anything spectacular. I have also read that 3.0 is very buggy and glitchy and is really taking a hit on ipod and iphone users battery life. I myself can not confirm this because I’ve had my 1st gen ipod touch since day one and the battery life is already horrible before 3.0. I haven’t had a newer touch or an iphone since I just bought the 3G S a couple days ago. Overall 3.0 is not worth it if you’re already on a lower firmware.
